More Room To Feed East Texans

More help is on the way for the East Texans in need. Today, the East Texas Food Bank held a ground blessing ceremony to mark the start of a 2.6 million dollar project to build a new freezer.

In the last four years, the food bank has doubled the food it distributed to its 26 county area.

But at times the food bank says they've had to turn away truckloads of donated food because they didn't have enough space. When the new freezer is finished it will hold two million more meals, that's 83 extra truckloads of food. The current freezer only holds nine.
