It happened Monday evening in Napoleon near the intersection of Harrison Street.
According to the Ripley County Sheriff's Office, Mabel C. Flick, 85, of
Holton, had been traveling west on SR 229, when 6-year-old Adrianna N. Estes, of Napoleon,
appeared in the roadway from the north side of the road. Officers say Flick struck the child with her car.
Estes sustained a cut on her forehead and lacerations to her knees. She was airlifted from the scene to UC Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
Speed does not appear to be a factor in the accident.
