Indiana State Police are trying to identify human skeletal remains found in Franklin County Sunday morning.
As individuals were searching for aluminum cans Sunday morning along Big Cedar Creek, they found a human skeleton in the creek-bed.
Indiana State Police were on the scene most of the day Sunday looking for other clues.
The remains were
collected by the Franklin County Coroner's Office and will be taken to the
Hamilton County, OH Coroner's Office for DNA and other forensic testing.
At this point it has
not been determined whether the remains are that of male or female, adult or
child, how long they may have been at the location, or a cause of death. The
identification process could take several weeks.
