Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you're staying warm and dry today.

Here's some of what we've been working on for you in the newsroom today:

First, our Melanie Torre has been on the scene in Hopkins County all day to gather the latest information for you in the case of the two men who escaped from the Hopkins Co. jail yesterday. The men may have been aided by someone, officials speculate, to make it through the cold, wet weather we've experienced the past 24 hours. More on that story at 4, 5, and 6.

At 5, officials say the Carnival Triumph cruise ship has broken away from its moorings in an Alabama shipyard. The U.S. Coast Guard is now searching for a missing shipyard worker.More on that coming up.

We will also be joined by Dr. Ed Dominguez at 5, who will talk with us about the latest findings suggesting that people who eat processed meats like hot dogs and salami have higher risks of certain cancers.

At 6 - food lovers, you'll love this: The House has formally named the pecan pie as the official state pie of Texas. Rep. Marsha Farney introduced the measure.

Also, we'll show you video of a house that exploded on Tyler's SSE loop across from Bishop TK Gorman High School. Two men were injured as a result.

Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto will join us at 4, 5 and 6 with the latest weather updates for you. You'll want to tune in to find out what's next after this short cold snap we're experiencing!

And some of you have asked for this to be re-posted, so here it is: The list of Farmers' Markets around East Texas. We hope you find it helpful as the season kicks off soon!
