Walmart Gives Money To Local Non-Profits

The Walmart Supercenter on South Broadway gave 12 local non-profit agencies grants this morning. All the groups say they are thrilled to have the money to be used to help East Texans. Groups like the Literacy Council say Walmart has helped them year after year giving their organization thousands of dollars to teach people how to read. Walmart says they are glad to do it and help meet the needs of East Texans.

The organizations awarded grants today were:

Literacy Council of Tyler

Old School Cruizers

PTA Texas Congress at Bell Elementary

Tyler Rescue Ministries

Tough Love of Tyler

Smith County Sheriff's Department

Make-A-Wish Foundation
