Fight measles with movies at Anthem's theater

Catching a movie can be a great way to unwind at the end of a work week, and a Phoenix-area school is combining that with helping a cause close to their heart.

The Red Cross Club of Boulder Creek High School will be hosting a special screening of Disney's Wreck-It Ralph on Friday, April 12 in the school's main auditorium.

Admittance is free with a suggested $5 per person donation. Each person will receive a free water bottle, and there will be activity sheets for the kids. All proceeds will go towards measles vaccines for children in Africa.

Measles is one of the leading killers of children worldwide. The Measles Initiative has helped reduce measles deaths by 78 percent worldwide and by 92 percent in Africa.

"It's inspiring to think that we can be a part of an effort that has already saved the lives of over a billion children in more than 80 developing countries from our school in Arizona," said the Red Cross club historian Kandace Donaldson.
