Good afternoon! We hope you're ready for the rain that's most likely headed your way. Please drive safely out there.

Here's some of what we're working on for you in the newsroom this afternoon:

We're following the story of two inmates who escaped a fenced recreation area at the jail in Hopkins County. Brian Tucker and John King are still on the loose, and their jail clothes have been found near a railroad track. Schools in the area were on lockdown most of the day today for safety. Our Melanie Torre is on the scene in Sulphur Springs and will update us this afternoon at 4, 5 and 6 with the latest.

At 5, we'll continue our coverage of the murder of Kaufman County DA Mike McClelland and his wife Cynthia. An interim DA has been selected, and now the community prepares to say goodbye. Our Lauren Callahan is in Kaufman County and will have the latest for you this afternoon.

And at 6, a 17-year-old East Texas musician will have his composition played by the Austin Symphony Orchestra Wednesday night. Timothy Dow is a talented cello player, and we'll tell you more about this amazing young East Texas tonight.

Join Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto as he tells you more about how much rain to expect later this evening as our chances increase. Stay updated, too, on your smart phone by downloading our free weather app for your iPhone or android. You can take our radar with you wherever you go!

Here's the livestream link for those of you who want to watch from your computer.

We'll see you soon!
