PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Federal agents have taken a number of people into custody after raiding a suspected drop house for illegal immigrants Tuesday morning.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations served a federal search warrant at a house near 39th Avenue and Camelback Road in Phoenix about 6 a.m. as part of a criminal investigation into possible human smuggling.
ICE agents were still processing the scene late Tuesday morning.
There was no word on the number of people detained.
A Phoenix SWAT unit aided in the raid early Tuesday, according to Sgt. Steve Martos of the Phoenix Police Department.
No other information was immediately available.
