A man whose record includes 31 arrests has been again arrested for allegedly attempting to break into an SUV near Vanderbilt University.

Bernard Miller, 60, is accused in a series of vehicle burglaries at Vanderbilt since November 2012, including Saturday morning on Children's Way.

Police said that at the time of his arrest, Miller was allegedly driving a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe that had been reported stolen on March 16 from a home on Murphy Road.

Prior to his latest arrest, Metro police had obtained warrants charging Miller with auto burglaries at the YMCA on Highway 100 and in a parking garage at Baptist Hospital.

Miller is also charged with five counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, forgery, theft and possession of burglary tools.
