School buses vandalized at elementary school

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police say they now know who is responsible for vandalizing several school buses at a south Nashville elementary school over spring break.

School security discovered the mess Monday morning at Shayne Elementary on Nolensville Road.

Fire extinguishers were stolen from four of the five buses parked at the school. The fifth bus had a fire extinguisher sprayed inside the vehicle, said investigators.

One of the buses also had a broken window.

Metro police say they've arrested three Oliver Middle School students and one Overton High School student. They have each been charged with misdemeanor vandalism.

Administrators were able to put four of the five buses back in service after cleaning them up.
