CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

Storms that passed through the ArkLaTex Saturday afternoon brought a quadruple threat: hail, heavy rain, downed trees, and flash flooding.

The winds from the storm knocked down trees, some even landing in homes. One Keithville man, William Locke, had a tree crush the home he's lived in for 32 years. Locke says he is lucky to be alive, "I was very fortunate, the lord was taking care of me to get me out of there."

Just like Locke, tales of destruction and good luck rang through Caddo Parish after the quick round of severe weather slammed the region. West Caddo Parish Resident Donna Owen-Reese was standing inside her home with a friend when the wind ripped the roof from her house and onto his truck. "It was over in probably 10 seconds," said Reese and adds while she is grateful no one was hurt, she is still shaken up. "I will probably sit down in about an hour and have a good cry," said Reese.

With the weather outburst dropping several trees on houses and roads, many are left with new Easter holiday plans, to clean up the mess this storm left behind. The National Weather Service will send a survey team to the area next week, to determine whether any tornados actually touched down, causing this damage.
