PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Saturday's exhibition game against the Atlanta Braves is a dream come true for 23 future stars.

For William Beckwith, it's a return home.

Beckwith, a native of Crawford, Mississippi, will have more than 20 family members and friends at Trustmark Park for his first true appearance against a major league squad.

The power hitting first baseman for the Braves (A) affiliate in Lynchburg played his high school ball at West Lowndes.

He was drafted by the Braves in 2010 out of Wallace Community College (AL).

In 2012, playing for the Rome Braves, Beckwith hit .291 with 15 home runs.

Now, taking a step up to Lynchburg, Beckwith hopes to continue his progress.
