MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The tallest building in downtown Montgomery will soon turn blue as part of an international campaign to shine light on autism.

The RSA Tower will join other sites to participate in the 4th annual Autism Speaks Light It Up campaign for World Autism Awareness Day and Autism Awareness Month.

The event will take place on April 2 and more than 3,000 iconic structures, buildings and landmarks will take part across all seven continents.

The Empire State Building in NYC, Niagara Falls in Canada, Christ the Redeemer Statue in Brazil, the Sydney Opera House in Australia, and even the International Space Station will all join Autism Speaks in support of the millions of families affected by autism.

The RSA Tower's new lighting system will change to blue on Tuesday beginning at dusk.
