JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Agents with the Narcotics Task Force of Jackson County made an alarming discovery during a meth bust this week: Meth hidden in the diaper of a four-month-old baby. It's all part of a two month investigation, and a chain reaction of arrests.

The first of two meth labs was found Monday on Frank Snell Road in Hurley. Investigators said besides the lab, additional meth was found in the home of Spurlon Phillip Owens, 23, who is still on the run from authorities. They believe he may have fled to Mobile, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Hannah Kay Stanford, 20, was arrested at Owens's house. The 1-year-old she had with her was taken into custody by the Department of Human Services, then released to family members.

The next day, Shawn Anthony Oppie, 35, was stopped for a traffic violation on Whites Farm Road in Hurley. Oppie was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of precursor chemicals with the intent to manufacture meth.

Oppie told deputies he didn't have a home, but since he's also being charged with violating his parole, the Mississippi Department of Corrections will likely change that. A hold has already been placed on him by that agency.

Oppie's arrest led agents to a second meth lab at the 6000 block of Whites Farm Road. That's where agents say they found two women cleaning up a meth lab in a kitchen.

Amy DeAnn Prassenos, 43, aka "Amy Dunn," and Chasity Jean Dean, 31, aka "Chasity Vice" are both charged with possession of meth and child abuse. Those charges stem from Prassenos trying to hide meth inside the diaper of Dean's 4-month-old baby.

Sheriff Byrd said he expects to see more arrests come from this case. If you have any information that could help with the investigation, or know the whereabouts of Spurlon Phillip Owens, call the Narcotics Task Force of Jackson County at (228) 769-3302.
