A demolition cleared the way Thursday for a new development in Bond Hill.
The old Swifton Commons sign and a blighted restaurant were torn down Thursday morning to make way for a 25 acre development at the corner of Reading Road and Seymour Avenue, the site of the Jordan Crossing Shopping Center.
The new development will feature a mixed-use office, retail and residential hub and a hotel.
The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority purchased the site in February after working with Allen Temple Real Estate and church leaders for more than a year.
About $6.2 million in funding is being provided by the City of Cincinnati's Focus 52 program.
