Construction at a North Tyler park is getting ready to kick-up once again after weeks of delays.
Woldert Park in North Tyler has sat unfinished since June. That's when workers, upset that they weren't being paid, walked off the job.
A company out of Garland was hired to complete the job last September. John Webb, Parks & Recreation Director for the city of Tyler, said it was that company's responsibility to get things finished.
"(The contractor) had some problems early on with rain and what have you that slowed him down and it just sort of dominoed from there not being able to pay his subcontractors and keep them on the job."
The contract was bonded, and will not cost the city any additional money. Work is expected to begin in the next week, with an official opening set for early fall.
