Honestly, do you turn off your electronics during a flight?

Good afternoon, everyone! How is your Wednesday going?

We are having a busy day here in the newsroom. Here's a sampling of what we're working on for you today:

During East Texas News at 4, we'll tell you about an FAA committee which is reviewing airlines' policy of requiring passengers to turn off cell phones, iPads and tablets during flights. A revealing look at the truth behind the policy is coming up in just a bit.

At 5, we'll talk about the revelation that, since January 1 of this year, there have already been 26 reported cases of inappropriate relationships between teachers and their students in Texas. That's according to the U.S. Department of Education. Our Maegan Prejean will tell you more this afternoon.

And at 6, our Bob Hallmark will tell you about the illegal synthetic drug K-2, or synthetic cannabis, and how it's being repackaged to slip it into the retail market again. Parents, you need to know about this to keep your kids safe; join us at 6 for the details.

Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto will join us at 4, 5 and 6 to share his forecast for the next seven days with you, and during the news at 4, he'll have two "Big Weather Stories" for you, too! Those are always interesting, often and make me thankful for our crazy East Texas weather.

Here's the link to the livestream so you can watch us on KLTV.com.

And make sure to check out our updated iPad app; we have also updated our android app, so check it out. It looks great, is full of wonderful information, and it's free! (you can even watch our newscasts live at 11:30am, and 4, 5, 6, and 10pm on our apps!)

We'll see you soon,
