Boone Co. Sheriffs investigate residential burglary

UNION, KY (FOX19) -

The Boone County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on a person of interest in a residential burglary.

It happened on Sunday, Feb. 10 sometime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Belmont Park Drive in the Triple Crown Community.

While the homeowners were away neighbors reported seeing a person dressed in an overcoat get dropped off in the area by a silver colored Chevrolet Equinox (or similar SUV) in that time frame. The thief got away with cash and jewelry.

On Sunday, February 10, 2013 sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. a residential burglary in Union, Kentucky netted the thieves a cache of cash and jewelry.

Detectives are not prepared to identify the person as a suspect but, since neighbors did not recognize him or the vehicle and he was seen during the time of the burglary, investigators would like to speak to him about what he was doing there or if he had seen anything suspicious.

    An East Texas boy scout has achieved his goal of raising enough money to purchase 31 bullet proof vests in 31 days. 13 year old Jaxon Holland was raising the funds for his Eagle Scout project and surpassed his goal. Holland raised $18,000 which will cover 34 vests plus accessories. The vests will be donated to the Wood County Sheriff’s office.
