Tyler fire crews battle late night fire

Posted: Updated:
TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

The Tyler Fire Department responded to a structure fire Tuesday night that destroyed a small building.

It happened just after 10:30 at the Exxon station at the intersection of West Front Street and Palace Avenue in north Tyler.

The fire started in a small storage building behind the gas station. No one was inside, but the building was a total loss. The flames also torched the wall of another business behind the storage building.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the owner of the gas station tells KLTV 7 that he saw someone hanging around his store, and acting strangely just before the fire started.

Stay tuned to KLTV 7 for more information on this fire.
