Feds make arrests in Smith Co. in multi-state dog fighting ring

Good afternoon, everyone! We hope your day is going well!

This afternoon we are working on many developing local stories, including the following:

At 4, we'll tell you about a dog-fighting ring that crossed several state lines. The FBI investigated, and there were arrests made in Smith County. We'll tell you more at 4 and even more at 5.

Also at 5, the Supreme Court today, for the first time, took up the divisive issue of same sex marriage. The court heard arguments for and against California's proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in that state. More on that at 5.

And at 6, one day after the section of Loop 49 in Smith Co. which connects to I-20 opens, the toll rates will increase. Also, a decision has been made regarding the ability of bicyclists to use the loop. we'll bring you the latest at 6.

And Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto will join us with the very latest and most accurate weather forecast for you. (how many of you reached down into the 20s last night? Brr!)

Here's the link to the livestream, so you can watch the news at 4,5 and 6 live on KLTV.com.

We'll see you soon!

The John Tyler Lions always seem to look sharp in their uniforms. But thanks to East Texas lawyer Keith Miller, the Lions will look better and play safer. Helmets that advertise lowering the impact of hits, and possibly reduce the amount of concussions, come with a hefty price-tag. Miller's donation of 7,500 dollars, will go to help the lions cover that cost. "Keith Miller's been a big sponsor of John Tyler High School football program for years now.  I know it's...More >>

The last time we talked about the Kilgore Bulldogs, quarterback Buddy Jackson and wide receiver Jonathan Shepherd were apart of the 800-meter relay team that won gold at the 2017 state track meet. But today they are back in the pads, and looking to turn their speed into touchdowns.  Competing in District 9-4A, Kilgore has always had a strong run game that helped them become the 2016 District Champs. However, in order to surpass their opponents this season, including Carthag...More >>
