Man was sentenced to 60 years in human trafficking case
DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -
A DeKalb County man was sentenced to 60 years on Tuesday after he was found guilty of human trafficking and sexual exploitation of children.
Darryl Curry is required to serve 40 years behind bars, with the balance of his sentence to be served on probation.
Curry was convicted of 13 felony counts including trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, pimping for person under 18, sexual exploitation of children, false imprisonment, cruelty to children in the first degree and other charges.
"He mentally manipulated his victims and forced them to recruit other young women into the life.'" said assistant district attorney Dalia Racine, who served as lead prosecutor for the case.
