A Tyler man has been indicted on two charges after a November 2012 crash that killed an East Texas woman.
According to Tyler police, On November 16, 2012 around 11 p.m., Eduardo Flores, 23, of Tyler drove his Chevrolet pickup across a median into oncoming traffic on Highway 271. Flores' truck collided with a minivan, killing the driver, Nancy Slagle, of Athens.
The minivan's passenger, William Slagle, 73, of Athens, was transported to East Texas Medical Center.
Flores was treated and released at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital, then booked into the Smith County Jail for intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault, the same charges on which he was indicted.
