Packers' Brown throws no-no, Deerfield wins "road" game against TA

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

COLQUITT COUNTY- 8, LEE COUNTY- 0

Colquitt County's Clayton Brown was untouchable in Leesburg.

The Packers' pitcher only faced 23 batters as he no-hit Lee County in a 8-0 win.

The Trojans have struggled all year offensively, and Brown made sure those woes continued.

Colquitt jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings, then added three more in the fourth.

That was more than enough for Brown.

The Packers host TCC Tuesday night.

The Trojans stay at home for two against Bainbridge Friday.

DEERFIELD-WINDSOR- 7, TERRELL ACADEMY-5

It was a strange situation Monday at Deerfield.

The Knights were the visiting team on their own field.

The game was originally scheduled to be played in Dawson, but the field was too wet, so the game was moved to Albany.

The Eagles, playing as the home team, gave the Knights fits early on.

Terrell Academy led 5-1 after 4, but the Knights' offense would explode to score 6 unanswered and win 7-5 in the home road game.

Deerfield will be the road team again Thursday, when they take on Southland.

Don't shoot the messenger, argue with Jason Stark. The ESPN reporter released a reason for each MLB team on Tuesday explaining why they won't win the World Series. You might argue with Stark, but his point is pretty valid when it comes to the Rangers.
