Panthers' veterans helping lead team to wins

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

We're only a quarter of the way into the PIFL season, and already the Panthers have potentially played two of their regular season's biggest games.

The Panthers used a last second field goal to beat rival Columbus two weeks ago, then Saturday, they took down the previously unbeaten Alabama Hammers

The team says no matter how big the game, they know what it takes to win, and the veterans on this squad are making sure those things happen.

"The most important part of our team is we're a veteran squad. We know what it takes to win. We may get down a couple times, but we know how to finish and play four quarters of football," says Panthers DB Demetrie McCray. "I think that's the upside to our team. We are a veteran squad, and we know how to play together for four quarters."

Those Panthers veterans now get a week off to rest.

They're back in action April 5th in Knoxville.
