Building collapse, restaurant fire add up to difficult Friday for some East Texans

Good Friday afternoon, everyone! We hope you have some fun planned for your weekend.

(If you don't have any plans, we've compiled a list for you of events around the area. Click here to see!)

Here's some of what we're working on for you in the newsroom this afternoon:

During East Texas News at 4, we'll share interesting stories and videos from around the country, and we'll fill you in on local news, such as the fire that heavily damaged a Gregg County restaurant this morning, and a building collapse in Sulphur Springs that sent several people to the hospital today. More at 4.

At 5, we'll have David Wallace from Jake's Tyler with us on In the Kitchen to prepare a secret recipe that everyone asks him for. David says this is the last time he'll share it, so make sure to watch at 5 and check our website for the recipe while you can!

At 6, we'll tell you why the Tyler Pounds Regional Airport's tower is going to be closing, and what that means for travelers who depend on that airport. All is not lost! It'll just be different. Don't miss it.

Also, Brett Collar is here today with the latest on what I like to call, "crazy East Texas weather." He'll tell you what's going on and tell you how to plan your weekend when he joins us live at 4, 5, 6.

Here's the link to the live stream so you can watch us live on at 4, 5, and 6!

We'll see you soon!
