2 arrested in drug operation near Metro school

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A large-scale marijuana operation near a Metro school is the focus of an ongoing federal investigation.

Police said two men are in police custody, and more arrests could be in the future.

The suspects in the case, Milton Rader and Wilkes London III, had been under close watch by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Federal officials and Metro police followed the two suspects to a home on Belle Oaks Place in Antioch, which is about a half-mile from Edison Elementary School.

DEA officials and Metro police knocked on the front door, smelled marijuana and searched the entire property.

Officers discovered 20 pounds of marijuana inside the home. Rader and London will face felony drug charges.

Police say the home is believed to be a hub for drug trafficking. Police found loaded shotguns and handguns.

It's unclear how many people are involved in the operation.
