The Kilgore Bulldogs have one of the most dominating programs in East Texas. They made it all the way to the regional finals last year, and are favored to win the new 17-4A district this year. They've played in the post season ten straight years, and don't plan to end that streak anytime soon. And despite starting a week late because of spring practice head coach Mike Vallery seems to have the secret to success.
"We've got enough time that our kids will be in physical condition," said Vallery. "The biggest part of it is teaching and learning from week to week and being able to learn and progress from week to week and get ready for that first ballgame."
