18-wheeler knocks down traffic lights in Tyler

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Traffic is snarled because of a wreck involving an 18-wheeler that reportedly knocked down traffic lights and wires at the intersection of 31 Chandler Highway at W. Loop 323 in Tyler.

The wreck was reported at 11:57 a.m. Tyler police are on the scene and directing traffic in the intersection.

Crews will be on the scene until about 8 p.m. on Monday as they work to install and wire new lights.

Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
