Police: Boy left alone while dad fired shots into restaurant

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police said a Greenville man left his 7-year-old son alone in a car while he shot into a local Moe's restaurant about 4 a.m. Saturday.

Greenville police said some of their officers heard the gunshots from nearby and when they responded to the Moe's Southwest Grill on Augusta Street, they found 29-year-old Anderson Waldrep running away.

Police said they found six bullet holes in the restaurant's windows and while at the scene, they found Waldrep's son had been left in the car alone for more than an hour.

According to the arrest warrants, Waldrep had two handguns on him though he is a convicted felon.

Waldrep was arrested and charged with child abandonment, malicious damage to property and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
