A shoe print could help investigators find the people responsible for breaking into four Tyler businesses.
According to Tyler Police Department Public Information Officer Don Martin, Cruisers Audio on SW Loop 323 was broken into at 11:35 p.m., but nothing was reported missing. Cole Cellular on South Broadway was hit at 12:03 a.m. A computer and some cell phones were reported missing from that store.
Sprint Cellular on South Broadway was broken into at 12:18 a.m., but nothing was taken. At 3 a.m., Jack's Stereo on SSW Loop 323 was burglarized. They are reporting some items missing, but they don't know which ones at this time.
"The second they opened the door, the alarm kicked on and the cops were on their way immediately, so they got away with nothing," Richard Mallard, Cruisers Tint and Audio, said.
Jerry Cole, owner of Cole Cellular, said their door was kicked in and left a series of shoe prints on the door.
"We're a little surprised," Cole said. "We thought the building was really secure, that just proves to you that everything's vulnerable."
Tyler Police said they do have surveillance video and are looking to see if they can get a suspect description from that video.
