Heroic foster dog saves owner from burning home

Happy Friday! We hope you have plans to have fun with your friends or family. Here's a list of events, if you need some ideas!

Now, on to a preview of today's news:

During East Texas News at 4, we'll tell you the touching story of a foster dog named Cherry who saved her owner from a burning mobile home. You'll see video of the dog and hear the 911 call this afternoon.

At 5, we'll have Leslee Hart from Tyler business "Let's Cook Tyler!" with us on In the Kitchen, and she'll be whipping up a St. Patrick's Day treat that you're surely going to enjoy, yourself. And Gayle Helms with Pets Fur People will be here with an animal who needs a home of his own during Pet Project.

We'll also tell you about a fundraiser in East Texas that attempts to raise money for AIDS medical assistance and awareness; it's the 8th annual Matisse March Madness fundraiser, and you can read the details on our website and see a preview of the art at 5.

And at 6, we'll tell you about a Jacksonville business that was raided today in a gambling sting. Police arrested a man for running a gambling establishment. We'll tell you more this evening!

We'll also have your best weekend weather forecast from Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto, so you can know just what to wear and what to plan for outdoor activities. Join Mark at 4, 5, and 6.

Here's the link to the livestream if you'd like to watch us live on your computer!

We'll see you soon,

Stephanie Frazier

The last time we talked about the Kilgore Bulldogs, quarterback Buddy Jackson and wide receiver Jonathan Shepherd were apart of the 800-meter relay team that won gold at the 2017 state track meet. But today they are back in the pads, and looking to turn their speed into touchdowns.  Competing in District 9-4A, Kilgore has always had a strong run game that helped them become the 2016 District Champs.
