(NYSE: AJG) today announced that, for the second year in a row, it has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute, the leading business ethics think-tank, as one of the 2013 World's Most Ethical Companies. This recognition highlights organizations worldwide that outperform their industry when it comes to ethical business practices and behavior as well as ethical industry leadership.

Its proprietary methodology for the WME ranking includes reviewing codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction histories; evaluating the investment in innovation and sustainable business practices; looking at activities designed to improve corporate citizenship; and studying nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers. With a record number of nominations, the 2013 list recognizes 145 companies in 36 industries and more than 100 countries. Forty three of the WME companies are headquartered outside the United States.
