East Texans celebrate "Pi Day"

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Several East Texas students enjoying their spring break celebrated "Pi Day".

The Tyler Junior College Center for Earth and Space Science Education provided pizza pie and an assortment of fried pies in honor of the mathematical constant 3.14.

"We had one person come in and recite the first 100 digits of Pi, so that's been the top contender so far in that competition," said TJC Professor Rebecca Harper.

If you would like to check out the Center for Earth and Space Science over spring break, they are open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, they are open from noon until 5 p.m.
