ROSELAWN (FOX19) -

Students from Woodward Career Technical High School got some career experience on Tuesday in addition to helping out the community.

A team of 20 students worked at the Jordan Crossing site to secure windows in the former Swifton Commons Shopping Center before it is demolished, located at Seymour Avenue and Reading Road.

The Port of Authority of Greater Cincinnati recently purchased 25 acres of the Swifton Commons, including Jordan Crossing, for redevelopment.

The windows were secured in an effort to keep people out of the empty building until the scheduled demolition.

The students helping with the project were part of Woodward's Building Technologies Department.
