Interesting person: Stanley, the 'Barbie man' owns 2,000 of the dolls

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope your weekend was great!

We have a lot brewing in the newsroom this afternoon, and here's a sampling for you:

Today during East Texas News at 4, we're covering a number of stories featuring some rather unique individuals: for example, Stanley "The Barbie Man" collects those dolls, and has over 2,000 of them filling his home. Some of them are worth big money, and he often finds them at yard sales. Also, we bring you the story of a man who has been collecting clocks for 15 years, and now has over 1,000 of them! The 81-year-old says they really make him happy.

At 5, along with all your local news we'll tell you about a book called "Lean In," written by the COO of Facebook, which examines why there are so few women at the top in corporate America. She says the problem may just be the women, themselves. Controversial statements in this one.

At 6, we'll tell you what we've learned about the shooting of Justice of the Peace Sam Lawson, whose wife shot him over the weekend. Family members say there's more to this, its not just a domestic issue.

Also, we have a story about the Comet PanSTARRS which is going to be visible in East Texas in upcoming evenings; check that out on KLTV.com.

And Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto will bring you your forecast for this new week today at 4, 5, and 6. Don't miss it!

We'll see you soon!
