New Jobs On Horizon For East Texans As Local Plant Expands

There's a sizzling sound of new jobs in East Texas, working with a tex-mex favorite.

John Soules foods is the largest fajita processing company in the nation.

Today, in Tyler, they broke ground today for a 30 million dollar expansion to their plant. The new building will be 120,000 square feet. The expansion will double the size of the plant and add three new cook lines.

That means 10,000 more pounds of cooked meat per hour, and almost 100 new job opportunities for East Texans.

Right now there are 290 employees at the company. They will be looking for new workers in the next six to eight months. The 1st phase of construction should be done by July of 2005.
