There's an exciting event going on for all the amateur inventors out there.
Marvel Studios announced the 'Iron Man 3: Inventor and Innovator Fair', a
challenge for students to channel their inner Tony Stark and develop a unique
invention.
Sixth through ninth grade students throughout the United States were asked
to create Iron Man-themed projects, including securing cyberspace and engineering
tools of scientific discovery.
The participants can also submit projects focusing on eco-friendly car
development, limb regeneration, the study of protective armor for injured body
parts, aeronautics and more.
Competition finalists will win a trip to California for the finals and also
a trip to Disneyland, with their projects displayed at the El Capitan Theatre
in Hollywood.
Iron Man 3 is scheduled for release on May 3rd, starring Robert Downey Jr. Four grand prize winners will accept their award at a special ceremony just before the screening of the movie.
