HALLSVILLE, TX (KLTV) -
Two suspects are back in custody charged in a crime they allegedly committed when they were juveniles.
Thomas Dean Richardson, Jr. and Harley Blake Vaughn , both 20, have been arrested for the 2009 killing of Hallsville resident Bobby Joe Inzer.
Inzer was shot to death at a bunker on his Buckville Road property. The suspects later claimed self-defense.
"After an investigation it was found a body was located on a piece of property in what was describe as an underground bunker, with multiple gunshot wounds," says case co-prosecutor Joe Black.
The boys would later claim self defense.
Prosecutors say new evidence has surfaced that led to the suspects detention.
The pair will go before a Justice of the Peace in April to determine whether they will be certified to stand trial as adults.
"At this point in time there's been two detention orders place against the two juveniles who have now since been arrested and charged in the offense of the death of the victim in this case," Black says.
Both remain in the Harrison County Jail, Vaughn on a $75,000 bond and Richardson on a $50,000 bond.
