Part of Smith County is feeling the effects of alcohol sales when it comes to tax revenue. We'll have a look at the numbers, including the benefits to some areas and drawbacks to others.

And, we'll have the latest on a shooting that put one man in jail while another remains in the hospital, and the police investigation that still has more questions than answers this morning.

Good Morning East Texas Meteorologist Grant Dade says we are waking up with a few areas of high clouds this morning.  Parts of Deep East Texas saw mostly clear skies overnight allowing for near freezing temperatures.  This afternoon everyone should see mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures.  Highs will be in the upper 60 to near 70 degrees with southeasterly winds between 10 and 15 miles per hour.  Tonight will be partly cloudy and mild.  Lows will be in the 40s.  Friday will be partly cloudy and warm with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.  Grant will take a look at your weekend rain chances coming up on Good Morning East Texas.
