CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) -
Authorities in Houston County are seeking the public's help in locating two young children allegedly abducted by their grandmother.
According to a press release, Bonnie Miller, 48, took the children, 2-year-old Nehaeh Kimora Simpson and 1-year-old Jordan Malik Simpson during a custody dispute.
Miller is a black woman who is 5-foot-6 and 190 pounds. She may be driving a gray 2005 Honda Accord EX four-door with a Texas license plate with the number CYX-069. The car has tinted windows and a rear spoiler.
According to the release, the mother had died in a north Texas hospital in late December. The father has custody of the children and took them to the grandmother's house for a Christmas visit. When he returned Christmas Day to pick up his children, the grandmother refused to give them up.
A court order was issued listing the father as the sole managing conservator. During the time when the court proceedings initiated and were being finalized, the grandmother left the county with both children.
Two felony warrants have been issued for the arrest of Miller for interfering with child custody.
