A swarm of locusts descends upon farming community in Israel

Good afternoon, everyone! We hope you are doing well at this halfway point in the week!

We have lots of interesting and informative stories lined up for you this afternoon; here are a few highlights:

First, we'll take you to Israel during East Texas News at 4, where a swarm of locusts recently descended upon a farming community in Israel's Negev Desert. We'll show you that this afternoon.

Also, Graceland has a new exhibit covering Elvis' performances in Vegas. The exhibit will only be open for two years, so make your plans now, Elvis fans! We'll show you the highlights at 4.

We'll tell you at 5 about an effort by Special Olympics officials here in East Texas to get everyone to stop using a certain word they say is degrading to their athletes. East Texas News' Francesca Washington has more on why watching your words can help our special Olympians.

And at 6, we'll tell you about an accident that occurred today at a bank in Tyler; an 87-year-old man accidentally accelerated and crashed into a bank drive-thru. The man was pinned in his car and had to be cut out to safety. We'll show you the video this evening.

And Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto will be here with us at 4, 5, and 6 to bring you the latest, most accurate weather forecast for the rest of your week.
