Expanding the industry’s widest selection of PVC tongue-and-groove (T&G) products, VERSATEX® Trimboard launched a new WP4 profile
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) March 06, 2013
VERSATEX introduced a new PVC Tongue-and-Grove Board featuring an authentic V-groove center match. The ¾-inch x 5 7/16-inch profile meets the needs of builders and architects seeking a durable, workable replacement for the conventional pine WP4.
The WP4’s versatility has made it the traditional solution for wainscoting, soffits and porch ceilings. Today’s builders increasingly use it in such applications as interior and exterior paneling, fencing, porch skirting, hot tub enclosures and shed doors.
The VERSATEX WP4 is sold in 18-foot lengths, ideal for remodeling projects as well as new construction. Installation requires ordinary carpentry skills, tools and fasteners. Like all VERSATEX PVC products, the new profile is impervious to moisture and insect damage. It combines traditional curb appeal with long service life and low maintenance.
“Builders and contractors from Florida to New England have worked with the standard WP4 for decades, but they understand that today’s home owners want the kind of easy care and weather resistance that only PVC can give them,” says VERSATEX Vice President of Sales Rick Kapres.
“We listened when they told us about the moisture problems they run into with old-style T&G. Then we worked hard to develop a durable, workable, good-looking version in PVC. That’s what we rolled it out at this year’s NAHB International Builders’ in Las Vegas, and it is now in the stores."
VERSATEX Trimboard products are available from fine millwork distributors nationwide. They’re manufactured by Wolfpac Technologies of Pittsburgh, Pa., whose state-of-the-art facility produces cellular PVC trimboards, sheet, beadboard, mouldings and prefabricated corners, as well as the innovative VERSATEX soffit system.
