ANDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
A small fire damaged one of the Anderson County maintenance buildings.
According to Commissioner Kenneth Dickson, one of the maintenance buildings a mile south of Frankston on Hwy 155 caught fire around 10:30 a.m., Tuesday.
The fire burnt material on the walls and the roof, but Frankston fire crews were able to get the fire extinguished. The inside of the building sustained smoke damage and the roof was burnt, but the building is still standing.
The fire was started when an old dump truck sparked while workers were cutting a the bed off the truck.
The shop, where maintenance is done on county trucks, was housed on the same property as some commissioners' offices.
No one was injured in the fire, and work is continuing as usual on the property.
