Sleep apnea in the military is a rising issue as well as sleep disorders in general among U.S. soldiers. Studies have shown that the two most common sleep disorders with soldiers are insomnia and sleep apnea.
There have been studies completed with active duty soldiers. One study performed by Madigan Healthcare System included around 725 soldiers, mostly men, who had some sort of sleep disorder.
