Shots fired near East Texas college

Kilgore College Police are investigating a reported exchange of gunfire near the campus.

Officials with the school tell KLTV 7 that around 9 P.M. Monday night, shots were fired on Houston Street, about half a mile from the Kilgore College campus.

No injuries were reported from the shooting, and right now, no arrests have been made.

School officials tell KLTV 7 within minutes of the shooting, a Ranger Alert was issued via text message, asking students who live on campus to stay indoors.
