An overturned tanker spilled thousands of gallons of fuel and shutdown traffic for hours in East Texas. It happened around 11:30 Sunday morning in Gladewater at the intersection of Highway 271 and Loop 485. Authorities say the tanker, carrying hydrosulphuric diesel fuel, lost control as the driver tried to make a quick right turn. The driver was taken to Good Shepard Medical Center to be treated for a concussion. Authorities say almost 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled out of the truck and into a dry creek bed nearby. Hazmat teams used a vaccum to clean away the spilled fuel.
