ETX man arrested for trying to steal copper wiring from AC unit

An East Texas man is in jail after being arrested for trying to steal copper wiring from an air-conditioning unit.

Longview Police tell KLTV 49-year-old Barry Smith was arrested Thursday after he was caught trying to steal copper wiring from an air-conditioning unit.

He was arrested and taken to the Gregg County Jail, and is charged with Burglary of a Building.

His bond has been set at 10-thousand dollars.
