AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Martin's Mill earned its fourth straight championship berth by beating Snook 54-49 in overtime in a UIL girls Class 1A Division 1 state basketball semifinal.
Taylor Munns scored five of her 14 points in the final minute of overtime then grabbed a key defensive rebound with six seconds left and the Mustangs clinging to a three-point lead. Cheyenne Brown led Martin's Mill (33-5) with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Hailey Brown added 13 points and eight rebounds.
Shakera Barnes led Snook (24-12) with 21 points while Miya Hoskins added 11 points for the Lady Jays. Chastity Howard had seven rebounds and Brittany Snell grabbed six.
Martin's Mill is making its eighth straight final four appearance, with titles in 2006 and 2008. The Mustangs face Smyer (33-6) in Saturday's final.
