Tens of thousands raised for ETX men injured in oilfield accident
TYLER, TX (KLTV) -
East Texans have raised thousands for two East Texas men seriously injured in oilfield accident.
Atascosa County authorities said Lenard Crabb and Chris Barrios were airlifted to the San Antonio Medical Center after a water pipe perforating gun exploded.
On Saturday, friends worked to put together a benefit at Lago Del Pino in Tyler. Organizers said the entrance fee, raffle, silent auction and private donations raised more than $30,000 for these East Texas men and their families.
If you were not able to make the event, but would like to make a donation, you may do so at Citizens National Bank in Chandler or Athens. You can also mail a check to the bank at P.O. Box 127 Chandler, TX 75758. Designate "Chris Barrios and Lenard Crabb Split Fund" on the check.
