On Tuesday, two black male suspects robbed an individual in the parking lot of the Best Western at 120 West Rieck Road.
According to the Tyler Police Department, the victim was checking into the Best Western and was observed with a roll of cash by the suspects, who told the clerk that they wanted an application for employment.
After the victim checked in, he went out to his vehicle and was removing luggage from the trunk of his car. One of the suspects reached into the victim's pants pocket and grabbed his cash. The suspects fled the area when the victim displayed a handgun in an attempt to stop the robbery.
Officer Don Martin with the Tyler Police Department said the victim had a Concealed Handgun License and never fired any shots.
The suspects made off with the victim's cash and were last seen driving a blue vehicle.
Officer Martin said those men are wanted for a State Jail Felony of Theft of a Person.
